Perfect prep time for shedding the winter from your complexion.
My top tried and tested methods for getting skin glowing enough to say goodbye to the winter makeup layers.
1. Firstly, STOP with the inch of foundation that makes you look like you have seen sun this winter, it clogs your pores which makes you break out and makes the skin look dull. Try keep your day makeup to a SPF tinted moisturiser. (You may feel naked for the first few days but your skin will love you)
2. WATER. Drink lots of it. Yes, you will be running to the bathroom every hour on the hour but it is worth it. 2 litres minimum a day should do it. You will notice the difference in your skin in a week.
3. GREEN TEA. Seriously. Try 3 cups a day for a week and you will notice a massive change. I know I've gone on and on about the benefits of green tea but I swear by it, I've been drinking it for 5 years now and I NEVER get sick and hardly ever get a breakout.. LOVE. I love the loose green tea you can get from T2 but I also like Mandura green tea that you can pick up from Woolies. If however the taste is too bitter for you try an oolong tea, it has a softer taste.
4. Try and get 10mins of SUN on your face a day (weather permitting of course). It'll top up your vitamin D levels, and the sun kills bacteria on your skin which stops you from breaking out.
5. GREEN VEGGIES. Eat them for brekkie, lunch and dinner. They are full of amazing vitamins that will do you all sorts of good. Lately I've been grilling some asparagus to have along with my egg on toast in the morning. YUM.
